Welcome to this video reference tool for coaching Gaelic football.
GAA Pocket Coach is an App developed to provide Gaelic football coaches with a quick, easy to use reference tool for coaching the key skills of Gaelic football.
This App details coaching points, coupled with photos and videos for 17 key skills spanning the 4 key areas of the game;
•Gaining possession;
•Maintaining possession;
•Releasing possession; &
•Contesting possession.

PHOTOS
Within each skill you have the option to view each distinct coaching point, and a relevant photo to demonstrate efficient execution of the coaching point. You can simply swipe forward to the next coaching point of the skill, or swipe back to review the previous coaching point. The photos provide the coach with an easy to access reference point for themselves, and in some cases maybe even their players.

VIDEOS
You can also view the coaching points as a list, with a complete video of the skill being executed to a high level. The video can be played in real time or in slow motion, allowing a coach to examine the intricacies of certain skills, or provide players with an excellent visual cue upon which to base their practice. Videos have been shot from a number of angles to ensure that both players and coaches receive different perspectives on the execution of the skill.

SUMMARY
This App is perfect for anyone coaching Gaelic football, in particular for those working with younger players who are working to improve and perfect their skills. As part of the coaching process, players will need to be provided with a visual demonstration of the skill. GAA Pocket Coach has a readymade demonstration available, meaning coaches can show players ‘high level’ skill execution at the touch of a screen. Add to that the simple coaching points for reference and a coach has all they need to introduce and educate players on all the skills of Gaelic football.
